Meet Jannetta
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Jannetta Brass is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a heart for helping individuals and families heal from trauma. With specialized experience in family systems, trauma recovery, and mental health education, she brings both clinical expertise and lived understanding to the work she does.
Before entering the mental health field, Jannetta served as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. In that role, she witnessed firsthand how loss, primarily through gang violence, law enforcement encounters, domestic violence, abuse, and neglect, impacts families and reshapes entire communities, particularly within the Black community. These experiences opened her eyes to the deep emotional wounds families carry long after the funeral ends.
Combined with her own childhood and adult experiences with trauma, these moments sparked a powerful calling.
Jannetta’s work is rooted in the belief that healing is possible, that stories can be rewritten, and that trauma does not have to be a life sentence. Today, she is dedicated to guiding others toward restoration, resilience, and emotional well-being through compassionate mental health care and education.
Jannetta has helped me with a number of issues I’ve had socially within my childhood as well as several other concerns I’ve shared with her. I highly recommend her services to others looking for reform in their life.
Jannetta is incredible. I love speaking with her. I love how she sets me back on track. I love how she is straight to the point and I really appreciate her. She’s help me already and I’m only in my second session with her and I can already tell that she’s helping me become a better person.
